Biography
our astute and compassionate obstetrician and gynaecologist, specializes in diagnosing, treating, and helping to prevent diseases of women’ reproductive system. He is very passionate about providing medical care to women with all forms of medical reproductive needs and issues, including helping pregnant women on their journey to a satisfying childbirth, with a view to avoiding maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality at all costs.
He has over 16 years of clinical experience. He studied Medicine and Surgery at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He observed his residency training at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Lagos (LASUTH). He is fully registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria. He is a fellow of both the West African College of Surgeons and the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria, with subspecialty interests in adolescent gynaecological health and reproductive endocrinology.
Dr Odetayo is very skilled at building excellent interpersonal and professional relationships with patients, Maternal and Reproductive Health Research, Impeccable Surgical Skills, medical education and counselling. He also has great leadership skills, serving as Chief Resident of the O and G department at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital during his residency training. He has published several research articles on obstetric practices including Post caesarean analgesia, Outcome of eclampsia and Prevention of pre-eclampsia. He is certified in providing Advanced Life Support and Leadership in Health Management. He was also named the Best Resident doctor in LASUTH in 2020 by the Hospital Board Award and the Best Young Consultant in LASUTH in 2022 award by Rotary Club.
He loves music and fitness, and regularly advises patients to adapt such relaxing techniques in their routines to enhance good health.
